Mapsians are committed in contributing their best towards the society. We, at the The Mann School, not only do research in creating sustainable solutions for mother Earth but also equally work to create a concrete solution in solving a social challenge. One such issue which most of us face is to free our Delhi from roadside garbage. To reduce it, we tried to discover a solution in the form of "car trash bin bag".
We are very sure that its a practical and handy solution to reduce the waste thrown on the roads and keep our city clean. It just requires a small change of habit by keeping this bin bag as an essential accessory in car while travelling and the impact will be visible.

SEWAM Week 2026 begins with Elephant Day Celebration at DPS Faridabad
SEWAM – Society Empowered for the Welfare of Animals and Mankind, a Delhi Public School, Faridabad initiative, was formed on August 18, 2015, with the vision of nurturing compassion and a strong sense of responsibility towards all living beings.
In the spirit of the Government of India’s Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and in alignment with the school motto, “Service Before Self,” Team SEWAM is celebrating its journey of service through a week-long series of activities from August 11 to August 18, 2026. The celebrations encourage mindful choices, sustainable habits, environmental consciousness, and stewardship towards all forms of life.
Elephant Day Celebration
The weeklong celebration was inaugurated with the World Elephant Day Celebration. The programme was organised in collaboration with WWF EIACP, MoEFCC, Government of India. The celebration featured a series of engaging and meaningful activities such as Infographic Poster Competition on the theme of World Elephant Day and the screening of the Mission LiFE Documentary, followed by the Mission LiFE Pledge, inspiring students to adopt environmentally responsible lifestyles. Students were also felicitated with certificates of achievement and mementoes for their valuable contributions and creative work. A tree plantation activity concluded the session with a meaningful hands-on initiative for environmental conservation.
A significant highlight of the celebration was the participation of over 1000 students in the pledge to save elephants, reflecting the school community’s collective commitment towards wildlife protection and environmental sustainability.
The Elephant Day celebration set the tone for a meaningful SEWAM Week, inspiring young minds to translate compassion into action and reminding everyone that small, mindful choices can create a lasting positive impact on the planet and its living beings.
SEWAM – Compassion in Action.

At the centre, the flowing red human figure represents life, blood, and the complex systems that keep us alive, while the doctors and researchers symbolize the people who explore and protect this hidden universe. The microscope, DNA strands, cells, viruses, proteins, and other microscopic structures highlight the role of biomedicine in understanding diseases, developing medicines, and discovering how our bodies function. The deep blue, vibrant colours and cosmic elements create the feeling of an unexplored universe, showing that just like outer space, the human body contains a vast and mysterious universe waiting to be discovered.
